# You can now start private tasks your team can't see

You can now start a private task in Buildful that only you can see, even in a team workspace.

Turn on Private under the task box before you start. The task stays out of your team's task list, archive and search, and a teammate who opens its link can't see it. A private task is billed like any other: it counts toward your team's tasks for the month, as set by your [plan](https://buildful.ai/pricing).

Tasks started from a Slack thread now show your request, a short summary of the thread and an Open in Slack link. The agent still reads the whole thread, but the task page doesn't show it. In Slack, Buildful posts one status message and updates it as the task runs, so the thread doesn't fill up with replies.
