Terms of Service
Effective Oct 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of Buildful, the AI coding agent that turns a described change into a tested pull request on your GitHub repo.
1. The service
Buildful (“Buildful”, “we”, “us”) is an AI coding agent. You describe a change to one of your GitHub repositories; Buildful writes the code in a sandbox, runs your checks, tests it in a real browser, and opens a pull request for you to review. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use Buildful. You can sign in with GitHub or Google, and you must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything done through it. If you create or join a team, you are responsible for whom you invite, and everything scoped to your team — repos, tasks, env vars and memories — is visible to its members.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to build malware, or to attack, break into or abuse any system or network;
- use it in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the services it connects to, including GitHub's;
- try to access another team's data, run tasks on repos you don't control, or interfere with the service's security measures;
- resell, scrape or abuse the service, or use it in a way that degrades it for others.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content and your repos
Your code, task descriptions, notes and env vars stay yours. Nothing in these terms gives us ownership of them. To do its work, Buildful needs your permission to read the repositories you connect and to push branches and pull requests to them; you grant that permission when you install our GitHub App, and you can revoke it at any time in your GitHub settings.
To run a task, we copy your repo's contents into an isolated sandbox, and the change comes back to GitHub as a pull request on a branch we create. Sandbox workspaces are destroyed when the task finishes. Repository env vars you store with us are encrypted at rest. We do not train models on your code or content.
You are responsible for the changes you ask Buildful to make and for reviewing and merging its pull requests. Buildful opens pull requests; it never pushes directly to your default branch.
5. Plans, payment and credits
Buildful is sold as monthly plans measured in tasks. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page. Every plan includes a monthly allowance of tasks routed by Buildful; unused allowances do not roll over. On paid plans you can also pick frontier models yourself and pay for them from prepaid credit you top up in advance, or run them on your own API key, in which case the provider bills you directly.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time, which stops the next renewal. Where required by law, we will refund unused time on a cancelled plan. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes never apply mid-cycle to a plan you have already paid for.
6. Third-party services
Buildful connects to services it needs to work: GitHub for your repos and pull requests, AI model providers for the models that write and review code, Stripe for payments, and others listed in our privacy policy. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services, and if one of them fails, that may limit what Buildful can do until it recovers.
7. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It is part of these terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to make Buildful reliable and its output useful, but AI-written code is imperfect: it can be wrong, incomplete, or not what you meant, which is why every change comes back as a pull request for you to review. We disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent the law allows, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
10. Termination
You can stop using Buildful and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service; if we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice and refund prepaid, unused time on your plan. Sections that should survive termination — your content's ownership, disclaimers, liability limits — do.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we will announce it on the site or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Buildful after that means you accept the updated terms.
